Randy Loubier

Randy has been working with us since 2002. He is fairly new to the art world, but is incredibly prolific. In only 5 years he has produced over 200 paintings. His passion and excitement is apparent in each piece. His preferred medium is oil on stretched canvas, and most are done primarily with a palette knife, creating a heavy impasto of paint. We discovered Randy when his wife, Judy, brought his first painting in to be framed. Behind every great man is a great woman! Judy snatched up Randy's first piece before the paint was dry and rushed Randy to the framing department before he had a chance to say no. She knew he had something special, and she knew she had to act on it. We recognized a talent that had a lot of potential and encouraged Randy to keep painting and to contact us when he completed a few more paintings. In a year Randy had a large enough body of work to display at the gallery. Within a few short months it became apparent Randy was someone to watch. His paintings appealed to experienced collectors as well as to new collectors. Expressions held a reception for Randy in November of 2003. 10 paintings sold in 2 hours on opening night. Brisk sales have continued. His work is now in galleries in Florida, Georgia, Virginia and Wisconsin and we expect more to pick up his work soon.
